Going Electric

Going-Electric is the Association for Electric Vehicles in Europe. Their mission is to be the voice of all EV stakeholders towards a European legal framework enabling a European leadership in EV production and commercialization.

They promote all types of electrically powered vehicles in the European Union: cars, trucks, busses, motorcycles and bicycles, whether Battery Electric Vehicles, Extended Range Electric Vehicles or Fuel Cell Vehicles. Visit www.going-electric.org.


Extra Energy and LEVA Work Together

LAB and LEVA to Build a Bridge of Cooperation and Communication

"The League of American Bicyclists was founded as the League of American Wheelmen in 1880. Bicyclists, known then as "wheelmen", were challenged by rutted roads of gravel and dirt and faced antagonism from horsemen, wagon drivers, and pedestrians. In an effort to improve riding conditions so they might better enjoy their newly discovered sport, more than 100,000 cyclists from across the United States joined the League to advocate for paved roads. LEVA is a Member of the National Bike Dealers Association (NBDA)

LEVA joins hands with the NBDA in further representation of its Members who are specialty retailers.The interests of independent bicycle dealers (IBDs) and the electric bicycle industry are largely in alignment and share the mission of promoting cycling and protecting our planet. European Trade Association

ETRA is the European professional association for independent bicycle, moped and motorcycle retailers. ETRA's aim is to group these retailers in Europe and to defend and further their interests. ETRA represents some 6,000 companies (SMEs), which employ approximately 15,000 people in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.  One of the main objectives of the organization is to lobby the European institution for laws and regulations that facilitate and promote the use of two-wheelers. In that framework, ETRA is lobbying for better European regulations for electric cycles. This work has brought ETRA and LEVA together.

Bikes Belong

The Light Electric Vehicle Association is a member of Bikes Belong. Its mission: put more people on bicycles more often. We work to make bicycling better in America by:
  • Working with the federal government to maximize federal funding for bicycling
  • Awarding grants to help create more and better places to ride
  • Sponsoring programs to help cities and towns become more bicycle-friendly
  • Promoting bicycling to get more people riding
  • Cultivating cooperation throughout the bicycle industry

AVERE France

AVERE France is a professional association that works to promote the development of electric transport and mobility by providing information, dialogue and expertise. Founded in 1978, under the direction of the European Commission following the first oil crisis, it brings together the parties involved in electric and hybrid vehicles, including representatives from manufacturing, commerce, institutions, and associations, including: Electric and hybrid vehicles, equipment manufacturers and energy service providers, Institutional bodies, transport operators, users of electric vehicles, and insurers, assistance-providers and banks.
