At EVS 26, the team of Edward Benjamin and Wei Wei (Vivian), principles at eCycleElectric Consultants will present the fruits of 15 years of study and interaction with the electric bicycle industry of China. A uniquely Chinese vehicle, used in uniquely Chinese ways, has reshaped transportation and living patterns in much of urban China. This paper will explain and describe the effects on Chinese people of the most successful electric vehicles in the world.
A rather special team, Edward Benjamin, Managing Director of eCE, a native of the USA, is 40 year veteran of the USA and International Bicycle Industry, focused on electric bicycles since 1997. Wei Wei, China Operations Manager of eCE, from Suzhou, China, has spent almost all of her career working with Benjamin at eCycleElectric, in the electric bike industry.
